Michigan Academy of Family Physicians is (MAFP) is the state’s largest specialty physician association. With more than 3,000 members, MAFP is dedicated to assisting family physicians and their practices as they work to ensure high-quality, cost-effective health care for patients of all ages.

The mission of the Michigan Academy of Family Physicians is to improve the health of patients, families and communities in Michigan by serving the needs of family physicians.

Our Membership
Since each MAFP member has individual needs and expectations for their professional association, member services are organized into three key areas:
Advocacy: Get involved in advocacy for issues impacting the specialty of family medicine on a local and national level.
Professional Development: Attend live and online continuing medical education events designed to complement physicians’ lifelong learning requirements.
Practice Management Resources: Utilize a wealth of strategic business resources designed to help you efficiently maintain the office side of your practice.
