The Partnership for Prescription Assistance is a nationwide program bringing together America's biopharmaceutical research companies, health care providers, patient advocacy organizations and community groups to help qualifying patients who lack prescription coverage get the medicines they need through the public or private program that is right for them.
The Partnership for Prescription Assistance of Michigan (PPA) is the state chapter of this unprecedented nationwide initiative.
Through a toll-free number and user-friendly website, the PPA offers a single point of access to more than 275 public and private patient assistance programs, including more than 150 programs offered by pharmaceutical companies.
Many patients are eligible for public programs based on their age or income. Some patients in need qualify for private programs that offer prescription medicines for free or nearly free. The mission of the PPA is to increase awareness of these programs and boost enrollment of those who are eligible.
