2016 Michigan Family Medicine Advocacy Day

February 23, 2016
Karoub Associates, Governor's Room | 121 W. Allegan, Downtown Lansing, MI

The Michigan Academy of Family Physicians (MAFP) and the Michigan Association of Osteopathic Family Physicians (MAOFP)—which collectively represent more than 4,500 Family Physicians statewide—invite you to the 2016 Michigan Family Medicine Advocacy Day on February 23, 2016, in Downtown Lansing. Advocacy Day is taking place during Family Medicine Week in Michigan (February 21-27), as proclaimed by Governor Rick Snyder.

The annual Michigan Family Medicine Advocacy Day provides a valuable opportunity for Family Physicians, Family Medicine residents, and medical students to visit with legislators and discuss legislative and policy issues, including access to primary care, team-based health care, primary care workforce issues, and payment and delivery reforms.

Join Us!

Join us Tuesday, February 23, in Downtown Lansing for a morning advocacy seminar, followed by in-person meetings with House and Senate lawmakers. The day also includes a complimentary luncheon with colleagues and legislators at Troppo.

There is no cost to attend this event! However, space is limited so we ask you to register early to reserve your spot.

In addition to attending the event, you will be given the opportunity to contribute to the Family Medicine Political Action Committee (PAC) as part of your registration. This is an optional contribution to the fund that supports advocacy efforts on behalf of Family Physicians across the state. To learn more about the Family Medicine PAC and how it is working on behalf of Michigan Family Physicians, click here.
