Webinar: Family Medicine Certification: What’s New, What’s True, and What’s Ahead
April 1, 2021
Virtual | 7-8 PM | , ,
During this free webinar, ABFM leadership will share updates in the family medicine certification portfolio, including the new longitudinal assessment option to the 10-year exam and the self-directed performance improvement platform designed to meet the needs of family physicians who are engaged in quality improvement activities in their current practice setting.
Additional updates will include information about ABFM’s emphasis on redefining its relationship with Diplomates; supporting professional development and self-regulation within the discipline; reducing burden through improvements in the FMC process; and a rededication to enhancing communication across multiple settings and methods, including invitations for Diplomate feedback and participation in the evolution of the certification process. Specifics of the current FMC process will be reviewed for clarification and elimination of misunderstood concepts. Other aspects of ABFM’s work, including research on the discipline of family medicine, the PRIME registry and PHATE tool, and licensure and certification actions, will also be addressed.
