MAFP's WhatsApp COVID-19 Chat Group for Family Medicine Residents
Thank you for all you are doing on the frontline and behind the scenes to protect and care for patients and communities during the COVID-19 public health crisis. Your Academy recognizes your service and sacrifice!
MAFP has launched a WhatsApp group chat to facilitate peer-to-peer discussions among family medicine resident members ... share your anxieties, wins, losses, successes, challenges, questions, and jokes to keep each other smiling.
Rules of Engagement
We encourage family medicine resident members of MAFP to join the group and have a few rules we ask everyone to follow:
- Be kind and courteous: We're all in this together to create a welcoming environment. Let's treat everyone with respect. Healthy debates are natural, but kindness is required.
- No hate speech, bullying or politics: Our goal is to make sure everyone feels safe. Bullying of any kind isn't allowed, and degrading comments about things like race, religion, culture, political affiliation, sexual orientation, gender or identity will not be tolerated.
- No promotions or spam: Give more than you take to this group. Self-promotion, spam, and irrelevant links aren't allowed.
- Respect everyone's privacy: Being part of this group requires mutual trust. Authentic, expressive discussions make groups great, but may also be sensitive and private. What's shared in the group should stay in the group.
