Member to Member Webinar: Health Literacy Coaching to Improve Patient Health

October 19, 2022
12-12:30 pm ET | Facebook Livestream | Registration is not required | , ,

Health literacy is the ability to apply functional skills (e.g., listen, read, write), interactive skills (e.g., actively participate and interact) and critical thinking skills (e.g., analyze information and make decisions) to health situations. High health literacy enables patients to take control of their own well-being by making smart healthcare choices. Those with low health literacy, however, lack the capacity to obtain, process, and understand health information. During this webinar, you will learn about barriers to health literacy and how you can coach patients as they build this skill that is necessary for being a health advocate for themselves and improving their health outcomes.
