Drs. Edje, Hussey and Klamo to Lead Panel on Primary Care Shortage

Across the country, patients and caregivers are facing growing challenges in accessing primary care due to physician shortages, complex systems, and fragmented payment models. To address these issues, three members of the Michigan Academy of Family Physicians — Louito C. Edje, MD, MHPE, FAAFP; Nicole Hussey, DO; and Rachel M. Klamo, DO, MS, FAAFP — will lead an engaging panel discussion focused on reimagining the future of primary care.

The Inforum HealthcareNEXT event "No One Can See You Now: Confronting the Primary Care Access Crisis" will examine innovative solutions that expand the primary care workforce, streamline access, and align payment systems to better support patients and providers. The event will take place on Dec. 4, 2025 at Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital, 6777 West Maple Road in West Bloomfield Township. Networking begins at 7:30 a.m., followed by the program from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Admission is $25 for Inforum members and $35 for nonmembers.
