Advance Your Practice in 2026 with KSA's Covering Women’s Health, Geriatrics, Pediatrics and Asthma
Save the date and get registered early for 2026 KSA opportunities! You can earn 8.0 AAFP prescribed credits and 10 ABFM certification points with each KSA completed. The cost for MAFP members is $249 and non-member physician cost is $299 per event. Virtual KSA: Care of Women - February 7, 2026 | 8 am - 12 pm | Zoom | Facilitator: Kristi VanDerKolk, MD, FAAFP The Care of Women KSA will focus on having a better understanding of the unique health care needs as well as common medical conditions experienced by gender-identified women including gynecologic conditions and reproductive health, diagnosis and treat behavioral and mental health conditions in female patients, increasing knowledge and understanding of pre-conception care and prenatal care and being better prepared to diagnose and manage conditions experienced during and after pregnancy. Virtual KSA: Care of Older Adults - June 13, 2026 | 8 am - 12 pm | Zoom | Facilitator: David Walsworth, MD, FAAFP This activity will focus on diagnosis and management of common and uncommon medical conditions that occur in older adults. Topics also include disease prevention, rehabilitation, geriatric psychiatry, and health policy and systems issues as they relate to older adults. Register here. In-person KSA: Asthma - July 16, 2026 | 2 pm - 6 pm | Mackinac Island | Facilitator: Elizabeth 'Libby' Pionk, MD, FAAFP The Asthma ABFM-developed KSA activity focuses on understanding and identifying the pathogenesis of asthma, diagnosing asthma, managing chronic asthma, recognizing, and managing co-morbidities of asthma, managing exercise induced asthma, and recognizing and managing complications of asthma therapy. Virtual KSA: Care of Children - October 10, 2026 | 8 am - 12 pm | Zoom | Facilitator: Sheala Jafry, MD, FAAFP The Care of Children ABFM-developed KSA activity focuses on normal child growth and development, surveillance and prevention recommendations, congenital and hereditary illness, chronic illness, trauma, toxicity, infections, and behavioral health conditions for children ages newborn to 18 years old.
