Training Program Enhances Communication and Highlights Leadership Pathways for Family Physicians

Family Medicine Leadership and Development Program participantsMAFP members strengthened their leadership skills during the Family Medicine Leadership and Development Program at the James B. Henry Center in Lansing on Dec. 5, participating in immersive sessions designed to support their continued growth in family medicine leadership.

The program featured DiSC-based communication training, foundational board governance education, insight into MAFP and AAFP leadership pathways, media relations strategies, and a workshop on advocacy and influence. Attendees also connected with peers over a networking breakfast and luncheon. There was no tuition fee for this MAFP member benefit, with participants receiving meals, program materials, and CME credit.
