Measles Update from MAFP Member Dr. Pamela RockwellThe U.S. is experiencing a severe measles resurgence with 1,714 confirmed cases across 33 jurisdictions, driven by low vaccination coverage. As of Wednesday, April 15, eight confirmed measles cases have been identified in southeast Michigan — seven in Washtenaw County and one in Monroe County — with evidence of possible unlinked community transmission. MAFP is pleased to offer members an online Measles Update by Pamela Rockwell, DO, FAAFP. The update will enhance a family physician’s ability to recognize key clinical features, identify potential complications, and apply current best practices in diagnosis and management of measles. The session also underscores the essential role of immunization and preventive care in safeguarding individual patients and the health of our communities. Watch the Measles Update now.
