Recovery and Rebuilding in Greater-Midland Flood Zone

May 21, 2020—“MAFP members statewide have experienced significant challenges already this year due to COVID-19. To our members in Midland, Gladwin, Arenac, and Saginaw counties, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your patients in the aftermath of this natural disaster,” said MAFP Chief Executive Officer Karlene Ketola, MSA, CAE.
Thankfully, not one single casualty or major injury was reported as more than 11,000 people were evacuated in Midland County in less than 12 hours.
Midland, Gladwin, Arenac, and Saginaw counties have each declared local States of Emergency, and now the process of recovering and rebuilding begins. MAFP members with practices is in the flood zone that have experienced uninsured losses due to this natural disaster are eligible to apply for a grant of up to $2,000 from AAFP Foundation. LEARN MORE.
