The MAFP Foundation is seeking two delegates and two alternate delegates to represent Michigan at the AAFP National Conference of Family Medicine Residents and Medical Students, which will be held July 30-August 1 in Kansas City, Missouri. The MAFP Foundation will provide a $1,000 scholarship for the delegates selected, and the deadline to apply is Friday, April 17.
One resident delegate and one alternate delegate, plus one student delegate and one alternate delegate, will be selected by the MAFP Foundation Nominating Committee from the applications received. Delegates will be responsible for attending the conference and their respective national congress, casting the Michigan chapter’s vote in the elections for national resident and student officers and will participate in writing, debating, and voting on resolutions. Alternate delegates will be responsible for attending with delegates and sharing the workload. Note: Resolutions generated by the congresses are referred directly to the AAFP Congress of Delegates and/or Board of Directors (and commissions) for further development or action.
Interested residents and students can download the Delegate and Alternate Delegate Application below or at mafp.com/membership (select if you are a resident or student), and should submit it to MAFP Headquarters by Friday, April 17.
