Volunteer leaders are the driving force behind the success of MAFP, its philanthropic arm, Family Medicine Foundation of Michigan, and the Michigan Family Medicine Political Action Committee. This year, 75 individuals—including Family Physicians, residents, medical students, and other Family Medicine supporters—are donating their time and expertise to advance the specialty and guide the organizations in the year ahead.
Although Board and committee work for the 2018-2019 year of service is underway, it isn’t too early to start thinking about how you can get involved at the Board or committee level in 2019-2020 to impact your specialty. We invite you to explore the many options available at mafp.com/about-us/mafp-committees—we are always accepting applications!
"To all new and long-time members, I say get involved and you will feel the power we have when we are all moving in the same direction toward common goals,” said MAFP President Mary Marshall, MD, RN.
You can look forward to learning more about Dr. Marshall and her goals for the Academy and Family medicine in the fall issue of Michigan Family Physician, due out later this month.
