The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services announced this week that five locations have been chosen as test sites for the state's Blueprint for Health Innovation: Jackson County; Muskegon County; Genesee County; Northern Region; and the Washtenaw and Livingston counties area. Testing in these pilot regions is set to launch this summer.

The Blueprint for Health Innovation is Michigan's final product of the State Innovation Model (SIM) planning process, supported by a four-year, $70 million grant through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). The SIM focuses on transforming payment and delivery models throughout the state.

MAFP is part of a group of key stakeholders who will be providing input into the SIM strategy, Operational Plan and future webinar material. The Operational Plan is due to CMS by the end of May 2016. Read more.
