Congratulations to 21 of Michigan’s 38 family medicine residency programs that have achieved 100% resident membership in Michigan Academy of Family Physicians / American Academy of Family Physicians. For the programs that have not yet reached 100% membership, there is still time—AAFP will be taking the final benchmark measurement for the 2019-2020 program year on February 28.
The MAFP Board of Directors has appointed five members to represent Michigan as special constituency delegates to AAFP’s National Conference of Constituency Leaders (NCCL), April 23-25 in Kansas City, MO.
MAFP was honored to host Dr. Joneigh Khaldun, Michigan Department of Health and Human Services Chief Medical Executive and Chief Deputy Director, at the January 15 Board meeting to learn about the department's priorities.
The Senate Health Policy & Human Services Committee is hosting a public hearing on prior authorization reform legislation (Senate Bill 612) on January 30.
