Advocacy

Representing You at All Levels of Government

While you are busy caring for patients, MAFP assures that your voice is heard at the Michigan Capitol. We are actively involved in the legislative arena and we diligently monitor and respond to issues impacting the specialty of family medicine. MAFP proudly fights for family physicians on issues including, but not limited to, adequate payment for health care services, medical liability reform, patient safety and well-being and the advancement of primary care.

If you have specific questions regarding MAFP’s advocacy efforts or you would like to become more involved, please contact MAFP Director of Government Affairs Christin Nohner at 517.664.9082.
