- After successful completion of the course, family physicians may register for their NRCME number and after successful completion of the exam, will be listed as an NRCME examiner in the National FMCSA Registry

- The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration established the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners and requires that all medical examiners who conduct physical examinations for interstate commercial motor vehicle drivers complete a training course and pass a certification examination
- In partnership with the Iowa Academy of Family Physicians, an on-demand course is available to MAFP members
