Knowledge Self-Assessments: A Great Value

Low-cost, Time-efficient CME and Certification Activities

Looking for a low-cost, time-efficient way to enhance your clinical knowledge, earn continuing medical education credits that count toward meeting Academy membership and medical licensure requirements, and gain American Board of Family Medicine certification points? Take advantage of Knowledge Self-Assessment study groups hosted by Family Medicine Foundation of Michigan four times each year.

KSAs are focused on evaluating and enhancing your knowledge in a particular topic area common to family medicine.

Three of our annual KSA offerings are held virtually, allowing you to attend from your home or office. Eliminating the need for travel greatly reduces the cost and time you must spend.

Family Medicine Foundation of Michigan’s fourth KSA of the year is held in conjunction with the annual Michigan Family Medicine Conference & Expo. Conference registrants are eligible for an exclusive KSA registration discount, making it even more of a cost-savings.

Each family physician facilitated-KSA is approved for 8 CME credits and 10 ABFM certification points. Over the course of the session, you will take part in group discussions of 60 questions on a given topic. Following successful completion of the questions, MAFP will report your earned credits to AAFP. AAFP will then report your credits and certification points to ABFM on your behalf.
