Family Physicians Elected to Michigan State Medical Society Board of DirectorsDuring the 158th annual meeting of the Michigan State Medical Society (MSMS) House of Delegates, held April 22-23, three family physician members of Michigan Academy of Family Physicians were elected to the MSMS Board of Directors. Ryan Brang, MD, FAAFP (Marquette) was elected to represent physicians from Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and northern portion of the Lower Peninsula. Dr. Brang and his wife, Katie Brang, MD, own and operate a direct primary care practice in Marquette. Christopher Milback, MD, MBA, FAAFP (Lake Orion) was elected as a designated director, representing the interests of physicians employed by health systems throughout the state. Dr. Milback is chief medical officer at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital and serves on the MAFP Board of Directors. Jennifer Morse, MD, MPH, FAAFP (Clare) was also elected as a designated director to the Board, representing the interests of physicians serving in government or public health roles throughout the state. She is medical director of the Central Michigan District Health Department, Mid-Michigan District Health Department, and District Health Department #10. Also serving on the MSMS Board of Directors are the following MAFP members:
