Gov. Whitmer Outlining Fall 2023 Priorities in Special Address on Aug. 30

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer announced she will deliver a “What’s Next Address” on Aug. 30, 2023, to outline her policy priorities for the fall. According to a statement released by the Executive Office of the Governor, her priorities will target lowering costs, making Michigan more competitive, expanding opportunities, and protecting the fundamental rights of our state’s citizens.

“I’m eager to discuss how we can continue lowering costs, growing our economy, and helping anyone ‘make it’ in Michigan. I look forward to working closely with my partners in the Legislature to build a brighter future for Michigan. Let's get it done,” Gov. Whitmer said in a preview of the address.
