Dr. Mustafa (Mark) Hamed Wins Alumni Award

In a recent announcement from the Davenport University Alumni Association, Dr. Mustafa (Mark) Hamed was celebrated as the recipient of the College of Health Professions Alumni Award. Dr. Hamed earned an MBA in Healthcare Management in 2008 from Davenport University. 

This recognition celebrates Dr. Hamed's leadership in the healthcare field which includes serving as the medical director of Emergency and Hospital Medicine at McKenzie Health System in Sandusky, Michigan since 2011. He served as President of the MAFP in 2020-2021 and currently holds the position of alternate delegate to the AAFP Congress of Delegates. He was appointed to the Federation of State Medical Boards and the Michigan Board of Medicine in 2021 and to the Board of the Michigan Trauma Coalition in 2022. Throughout his journey, Dr. Hamed has remained a dedicated staff physician with Henry Ford Health, where he successfully completed his Family Medicine Residency in 2011.
