What is Family Medicine Discovers?

Family Medicine Discovers Rapid Cycle Scientific Discovery and Innovation initiative (FMD RapSDI) is the scientific signature program offered by the AAFP Foundation in collaboration with the AAFP National Research Network (AAFP NRN). This program seeks practicing family physicians with little or no research experience to generate new evidence and innovative models for "what works" in real-world primary care settings. 

Who can participate in FMD RapSDI?

FMD RapSDI is designed for practicing family physicians curious about answering a patient-care inspired question, clinical problem, or clinical conundrum, but has not had the support to investigate.The program offers a grant of up to $40,000, the opportunity to serve as Principal Investigator, mentoring support and more.
