AAFP Announces Nominating  Committee; Application Open for Board Candidates

American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) new Nominating Committee, which was established by the 2023 Congress of Delegates, began accepting applications this month from potential nominees who would like to stand for election to the AAFP Board of Directors. Members interested in pursuing this leadership role are encouraged to review the details on the AAFP website and read the Leader Voices Blog post by Nominating Committee Chair Reid Blackwelder, MD, FAAFP, which explains the process.

The Nominating Committee will accept applications through Feb. 15. The final slate of nominees will be announced on Apr. 16, and voted on at the 2024 Congress of Delegates this September.
