MAFP Comments on Bill Affecting Licensing for International Medical Graduates

MAFP provided comments to Rep. Alabas Farhat regarding House Bill 5613, which would change the licensure process for International Medical Graduates (IMGs) in Michigan. While grounded in addressing the critical shortage of primary care physicians, this legislation treats international medical graduates as a homogenous group and would allow them to circumvent the residency requirements.
