Governor Whitmer Signs Bill Mandating Equal Reimbursement for Telemedicine and In-Person Visits

On June 6, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer signed bills requiring Medicaid and state-regulated insurance companies to reimburse for telemedicine visits at the same rate as in-person office visits. MAFP applauds the Legislature and Governor’s work in supporting a family physician’s ability to practice medicine in a way that meets their patients’ needs, without negatively impacting the practice.
