Dr. Oshman to Speak at Free Obesity Workshop

MAFP member Lauren Oshman, MD, MPH, FAAFP, is a featured presenter at the "Redefining Obesity Care: A Comprehensive Primary Care Workshop” event hosted by the Illinois Academy of Family Physicians.  Dr. Oshman’s many professional roles including associate professor at the University of Michigan Department of Family Medicine, Diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine, and program director of the Michigan Collaborative for Type 2 Diabetes align well with this event which is designed to equip primary care providers with the latest evidence-based strategies for managing obesity as a chronic disease. Workshop participants will gain practical skills in motivational interviewing, shared decision-making, and holistic management techniques to enhance patient outcomes.
