MAFP Members Support Primary Care During Advocacy Day 2025

Thank you to the MAFP members who joined us at the Michigan State Capitol for Advocacy Day on March 18! Your presence and passion helped shape a stronger future for Michigan’s family physicians and the patients we serve.

We welcomed more than 200 family physicians, residents, and students who came together to make their voices heard and champion policies that strengthen primary care across Michigan. In partnership with the Michigan Association of Osteopathic Family Physicians, attendees met with legislators to discuss some of the most pressing issues facing family medicine – including Medicaid access, workforce investments, and the importance of physician-led, team-based care. 

We were honored to have Dr. Natasha Bagdasarian, Chief Medical Executive for the State of Michigan, as our keynote speaker. We also want to thank Sen.
