MAFP Resident & Student Ambassadors Champion the Academy and Specialty

With more than 4,300 members across the state and 127,000-plus nationally, tapping into all that American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) and Michigan Academy of Family Physicians (MAFP) offers its resident and student members is greatly boosted by the work of ambassadors.

Each residency program year and medical school academic year, MAFP seeks volunteer leaders to serve in the ambassador role. MAFP Ambassadors serve as conduits of two-way communication between the Academy and their program/school, sharing information about Academy events, scholarships, awards, networking opportunities, and resources with peers; letting MAFP know about celebratory milestones and accomplishments of their program/school and colleagues; and providing their feedback on MAFP resident/student initiatives.
